Composition I

This introductory course in composition
prepares students for the writing to be undertaken in their undergraduate
coursework and provides an
introduction to the rhetorical, conceptual and stylistic
demands of writing at the university level including composing, researching,
and utilizing sources. During the course students will practice and peer edit
their personal, expository, analytical and persuasive research writing, paying
attention to the elements that make for good writing in any genre.
