I have successfully taught and worked with a wide range of students from diverse backgrounds, levels of preparation, and proficiency levels. Prior to coming to UH Manoa I taught pre-college and college level composition for a number of years at several community colleges on Oahu. Primarily taught and worked with students from underrepresented and marginalized groups.

I do not like to lecturer and simply read off my slides. Instead, my classes are student-centered which require active student participation and engagement.
