Course Description
In this course, we will explore poetry and spoken word as empowering modes of self-reflection, transformation, and community building. We will also read, study, and write alongside contemporary and canonical writers to develop our vision of what poetry can do in the world. The pandemic forced so many of us into tight, isolating spaces. Our writing community will work together to create an expansive space in which our stories of joy, struggle, and resilience are centered.
