This writing intensive course is devoted to the study of poetry and film with a special focus on literary activism. We will read and discuss texts, films, music, and performances that address cultural identity, social justice, environmentalism, and globalization, among other topics. This mixed-genre workshop will encourage students to write poetry and make creative videos about the issues you care most deeply about.
