ENG 100 Composition I (3): Introduction to the rhetorical, conceptual, and stylistic demands of writing at the university level; instruction in composing processes, search strategies, and writing from sources.
This course is taught online synchronously. This course will require students to be self-motivated. While the course is taught synchronously, students will need to focus in an online learning environment and use their time effectively. Attendance is recorded at the beginning and ending of each course.
We will consider literature and “texts” in various formats. We will read from Jeff Chang’s We Gon’ Be Alright: Notes on Race and Resegregation, as well as They Say, I Say: The Moves That Matter in Academic Writing.
