Originally from Kapolei, Hawaiʻi, Avree is a Ph.D. candidate with a concentration in composition and rhetoric. Her main research interest focuses on community writing center pedagogy and how writing center consultants work with clients from both non-academic and academic communities. Avree has been a writing center tutor for various University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa programs, including GEAR UP Hui and the Online Learning Academy, as well as a mentor in ENG 100 and ENG 200 courses.
