Reading series

The Words @ Mānoa Literary Series

Every year, our “Words @ Mānoa Literary Series” brings renowned local, indigenous, national, and international writers and performers to our campus. Visiting writers perform at a public reading, conduct creative writing workshops with undergraduate and graduate students, interact with the broader community, and experience the vibrant literary and cultural scene in Hawaiʻi.

Mixing Innovative Arts

Mixing Innovative Arts, founded and organized by Ph.D. candidate Jaimie Gusman, aims to bridge the gap between academia and the local artistic communities on Oahu. This innovate literary series features readings on the 3rd Monday of every month at Fresh Cafe in Kakaʻako by authors locally, nationally, and internationally. Free and public writing workshops are offered during the summer. or for more information.
